TiIdentifierForVendor This call was also added in iOS 6, but it was added as a new method on the existing UIDevice class. Just like advertisingIdentifier, it returns an NSUUID object. NSString *idfv = [[[UIDevice currentDevice] identifierForVendor] UUIDString]; Example: 599F9C00-92DC-4B5C-9464-7971F01F8370 A Vendor is defined by the first two parts of the reverse DNS formatted CFBundleIdentifier. The thing to point out here is that if a user uninstalls all of the apps from a vendor and then re-installs them, the identifierForVendor will be reset. |
